Privacy

This is a translation for convenience; the German version is legally binding.

In short: this website sets no cookies and uses no tracking or analytics tools. Previews come from our own server, videos (YouTube) only load when you press play.

Controller

Visiting the website

The website runs on an external hosting provider. When you visit it, the provider processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referrer, and your browser and operating system in server log files. This keeps the site secure and stable (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The logs are not combined with other data and are deleted after a short time.

Fonts, images and videos are served from our own server. Visiting the site sends no data to Google Fonts or other third parties.

Cookies & local storage

We set no cookies. So that the merch basket survives a reload, your browser keeps its contents in local storage (localStorage). So that a song keeps playing when you open another page, the player notes the song and position for the current browser session (sessionStorage). This data never leaves your device and you can delete it at any time in your browser settings.

Contact, booking & orders

When you email us, use the booking form or send a merch order, we process your details (e.g. name, email address, message, delivery address) to answer your request or fulfil the order (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We do not pass the data on to third parties and delete it as soon as it is no longer needed and no statutory retention periods apply.

The booking form is sent through our hosting provider Cloudflare and delivered to our inbox by the email service Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., 2261 Market Street #5039, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA), which processes the data on our behalf (Art. 28 GDPR). Data may be transferred to the USA; this is covered by Resend’s certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and by Standard Contractual Clauses · Privacy policy

To keep spam out, the booking form uses Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). Only once you start filling in the form does your browser load Turnstile, which checks technical data such as your IP address and browser information to tell people from bots (legitimate interest in protection against abuse, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The merch basket opens your own email app with a ready-made message. Your details only reach us once you send it.

Previews

All previews and the band intro clips are stored on our own server. Playing them sends no data to third parties. The full songs are on the streaming services (see links to other services).

Videos (YouTube)

We only load the basement session videos when you click on one, and then in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). By clicking you consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) to your browser connecting to YouTube. This transmits at least your IP address and technical device information; YouTube may also set cookies and transfer data to third countries (e.g. the USA). Links to other services

Links to Instagram, streaming services, ticket shops or organisers are ordinary links. Only when you click them do you leave our website; from then on the provider’s privacy policy applies.

Show calendar

If you subscribe to our calendar (shows.ics), your calendar app fetches the file from our server regularly. This only creates the server log files described above.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing of your data, to data portability, to object, and to withdraw any consent you have given. Just write to us at booking@butterbreadmusic.com.

If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority: Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb.gv.at .
